I just found out my husband is getting sent to Afghanistahn. Hopefully he will only be gone 9 months. Stupid marines. Naturally I went for a walk through the woods, as I always do when I am upset. Then it occured to me just now, for an idea for a set of photos. Upset and in the woods, haha. Unfortunately right now it is too dark to photograph within the woods, but more photos will come soon. For now, I have these poorly taken ones for you to (hopefully) enjoy.

my wonderful friend wendy told me of this list she made while sitting in class one day; her 25 favorite everythings. this includes (although i choose to leave a few of these out) people, places, foods, abstract ideas, paintings, anything at all. its a beautiful idea to sit down and write this, being as specific as possible. it helps to remember that there are lovely things in this world and everyone needs to see that sometimes. so, tell me, what are your favorite everythings? i don't care if i have no idea what you are talking about (so and so's eyes after we so and so) or if i disagree, just post a few favorite things.

sparkling grounds like a million sequins having a early party, trees were white and there was some kind of undefied magic and in the air, with warm breathing mixed together.

For Christmas I think I want sequins. Sequins and feathers and glitter. And woolly tights in berry colours. And a checked coat and a gold skirt and grey shoeboots. And white earmuffs that fit my tiny head. And flowered minidresses with three-quarter length sleeves in happy, rich hues, not dull, drab and neutral as they all seem to be. Plain cardigans would do, and cable knits and waffle knits and I could decorate them with appliqué flowers and gold sequins from the haberdashery myself. Pearls and leopard print and cobra and croc. Buttons. Deffinately proper buttons. And a waistcoat. Pencils. Decent colouring pencils and good paper. And sealing wax. Yes, yes indeed.

I know it's early, but, what's on your Christmas list thus far? :D

Victoria Magazine

I can't remember the first time I picked up my very first issue of Victoria. I recall how much I ♥ reading the articles and looking at all the beautiful pictures in every issue. I have a storage container full of every issue I ever owned. Victoria Magazine is one of prized possessions. LOL! After being taken out of circulation for 4 years Victoria magazine is back. YAY!!! *dances* I found this copy today on the newstand at Fry's. According to this article this magazine has grasp the attention of most women between the ages of 47 and 52. I must say that they didn't include us that are under that age range who also enjoy reading this magazine. I have always been intrigued with the Victorian Era.

If you enjoy antiques, roses, beautiful gardens, silver and china and linens, homes, afternoon tea and anything to do with romantic and gracious living then I highly recommend you enter the world of Victoria Magazine.

Happy reading! :D

Tea Cup
13 Heath Street
London (Hampstead)

'Tea cup' is dedicated to bringing you high quality food in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Tucked away in Hampstead we have created a fantasy version of an old English tea shop. Our idea was to create a haven that could be enjoyed by all generations.
I stumbled upon this while searching through a friend's facebook. The group name is "tea cup" (I don't know how to make links directly to facebook groups, sorry).

here is the myspace:

This place looks so cute! Check it out if you're in London. I wish I was still there...

i just want to share one of my favorite designers. such pretty prints and patterns and details. i wish i could own a few pieces but they are based in japan and i am not sure you can order. it reminds me of anthropologie a little, all the prettiness but much more simple and minimal and very japanese. everything is so beautiful.

I bought this today at a flea market; there was only one (I would love to have a proper, matching set of these), and it came with a saucer and a little plate. Oh, I am so enamored. It glows under ultraviolet light and is generally clear, see-through, but tinted glowing-green in ever-changing places, depending on how you are looking at it and how the light is hitting it. And so now I am going to spend all of my money on uranium glass things.

I'm new, but a long time fan of all things aesthetic and charming. I think I was born in the wrong era, and hosted my first tea party this Spring.

I have a lot of photographs to share with you/.
Photographs of my tattoos- my tattoos of love, and of the sea, of ghosts and of PURITY.
I am Rachael and I have champaigne blonde hair. I love to call it sunshine hair.
I love secret garden patches, running around in the woods while being careful as to not rip my stockings.
I love the smell of fresh cut grass and of shampooed hair, and of tea.
